The Four Topped Oak is very close to my house and i do like to travel and eat out. For this rason i had not taken the opportunity to eat somewhere so close to home. I recenlty (Feb 2008) went into the Four Topped Oak where 4 of us ate. The wait was a little longer than usual for pub food, not much longer possibly ten minutes but it was well worth the wait. The menu is really good and i was spolit for choice. The food was really good, and that was from everbodies point of view. Would highly recommend it. I was going to go a couple of days ago only it appears under renovation at the moment. It looked fine to me when i was there so i can only imagine that it will be even better when it re-opens.
